Art has the power to unlock passion and potential. At its best, it can unite entire communities. But for many young people – especially the underprivileged – high-quality music and arts education is often out of reach.
This is what ArtSee wants to change. Launched in 2017, ArtSee is a volunteer-run project that empowers marginalised communities through free musical and artistic training.
Our pilot program introduced traditional Gamelan music to residents of the Muhammadiyah Welfare Home, a shelter for neglected and abused children. The program engaged 20 at-risk youth over a 24-week period.
ArtSee is fully run by volunteers and we're always looking out for amazing, passionate people to join our team.
